Salman Khan has fiercely responded to recent claims made by a veteran actor-director who asserted that he was the one responsible for writing the film ‘Kranti‘.
During the trailer launch of ‘Angry Young Men’, Farhan Akhtar mentioned that his favorite film written by Javed Akhtar was Kranti. Salman Khan, who was also present at the event, quickly interjected, pointing out that actor-director Manoj Kumar has claimed that he was the one who wrote the film.This unexpected remark from Salman added a surprising twist to the conversation, highlighting the ongoing debate about the true authorship of the iconic film.
Salman added to the conversation by saying, “Manoj Kumar would say, ‘main inko batata hoon aur yeh dono agle din wahi likh kar laate hai’.”
‘Kranti’, released in 1981, was a major cinematic event, featuring an ensemble cast that included legendary stars like Dilip Kumar, Shatrughan Sinha, Shashi Kapoor, Hema Malini, and Parveen Babi. The film’s credits list Salim-Javed, the iconic screenwriting duo, as responsible for the story and screenplay, while the dialogues were attributed to Manoj Kumar.
