The upcoming spy series ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny‘ starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, has everyone buzzing with excitement, including Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
This Indian leg of the global spy series ‘Citadel,’ which features Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden in the American version, has been generating significant buzz since its announcement.The teaser, released on August 1, has been well-received by fans, and even Salman who joined the cheer squad by sending his best wishes to the team
Today, the superstar shared the teaser on his Instagram Story and wrote, “Arre wah V.D., Citadel Honey Bunny? Lagta hai baat bunny aur honey ke saath citaphal bhi khane milega.. raat baki hai coming to see grandfather (my friend David), u, Rohit, Lalli ma and the kids son and granddaughter tonite…”
Recently, Priyanka also did her bit to promote the series by giving a shout-out and encouraging fans to keep an eye out for her character Nadia Sinh’s back story in this Indian leg of the series.
Directors Raj & DK helm this series that is reportedly eyeing a November 7 release. Ahead of the relase, the team got together to launch the teaser where Varun shared that he was instructed to keep his look a secret before he joined the project. “If you are doing this, you cannot do another during this, shoot no ads. This is your look; you can only be in this.’ I enjoyed it more because I got to be in this character for a much longer period of time.”
‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ also stars Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem, and Sikandar Kher. Besides the Hindi version, an Italian version of the series called ‘Citadel: Diana’ is set to release on October 10, 2024.
