Sean 'Diddy' Combs' attorney reacts to reports that rapper is on 'SUICIDE WATCH' in jail amidst sex trafficking trial | Filmymeet

Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs’ legal team is speaking out about the viral reports claiming that the rapper is on ‘suicide watch‘ while in jail.
The music mogul, who is facing charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, was denied bail for the second time on Thursday and was ordered to remain in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. Shortly after news of his bail being denied, spread online, reports claimed that Diddy had been placed on ‘suicide watch’.
On Friday, the rapper’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, issued a statement clarifying the viral claims and insisted that the rapper is “not at all suicidal.”He explained that placing high-profile inmates on suicide watch is a routine precautionary measure, not an indication of Diddy’s mental state. He described his client as “strong, healthy, confident, and focused on his defence.”
Diddy is awaiting trial on three counts of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Lawyers had asked a judge on Wednesday to let him await his trial at his luxury home on an island near Miami Beach, rather than the federal jail in Brooklyn. In their plea, the rapper’s lawyers also offered a $50 million bail package — using his mansion as collateral — in exchange for releasing him to home detention with GPS monitoring and strict limitations on visitors.

Prosecutors argued against the arrangement, saying there was too great a risk that the hip-hop mogul could threaten or harm witnesses and that he also posed as a ‘flight risk’.
Combs, pleaded not guilty after an indictment accused him of using his “power and prestige” to induce female victims and male sex workers into drugged-up, elaborately produced sexual performances dubbed “Freak Offs” that Combs arranged, participated in and often recorded. The events would sometimes last days, the indictment said.
The indictment alleges he coerced and abused women for years, with the help of a network of associates and employees, while using blackmail and violent acts including kidnapping, arson and physical beatings to keep victims from speaking out.
