An old video of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has resurfaced on the internet. In the clip, the infamous music icon can be seen getting a cold shoulder from another artist, and the internet can’t help but scream ‘Awkward.’
The video in question is from the 2014 Golden Globe Award. It features an ‘awkward’ encounter between Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and ‘U2’ star Bono, which happened when the latter was on the stage to receive his trophy in the category ‘Best Original Song Award’ for ‘Ordinary Love’ from ‘Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom’.
The award was presented by Combs, Usher, and Kate Beckinsale. Bono accepted his award and was enjoying his moment when Combs rushed towards him to give a warm congratulatory hug. Seeing the same, Bono quickly gave a side hug to Combs and while it was noticed that Sean was moving forward to kiss the winner on the cheek, the artist turned his head and addressed the attendees.
Caught by both surprise and perhaps a little embarrassment, Diddy’s grin disappeared and he walked down the stage with Kate.
However, according to Page Six, later everything appeared normal between Combs and Bono as they hung out together at the after-party.
Nevertheless, this resurfaced video has made netizens wonder, did Bono know something about Diddy’s alleged notorious scandals?
“Diddy tried to kiss Bono and got the cold shoulder, awkward!” read one of the posts on X, while another netizen mentioned – “That moment was definitely awkward—celebrities have some of the most unexpected encounters!” One of the netizens chimed in saying “Diddy looking around to see if anyone saw him getting rejected by Bono,” while another straightforwardly questioned – “Diddy wasn’t liked by Bono. What did Bono know?”
For the unversed, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ legal troubles started last year in November. His ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura sued him over the alleged charges of sex trafficking and physical assault. Though the matter was settled out of court, Diddy was never out of the woods. A further inquiry into his background, led to his arrest on September 16, in New York City.
