Bollywood‘s King of Romance Shah Rukh Khan, who has captivated audiences for decades with his iconic roles in classics like ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and several others, recently revealed the reason behind not dancing at weddings anymore and living in a bungalow. He also took a sly dig at Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif’s relationship.
During a recent award show, Shah Rukh joked about Katrina Kaif’s romance with Vicky and revealed what Katrina had told him when he asked her about their love story.According to the superstar, Katrina told him, “Pyar andha hota hai (Love is blind).” Before getting married, Katrina and Vicky dated for several years. On December 9, 2021, they tied the knot at the Six Senses Resort in Fort Barwara, Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan.
Shah Rukh Khan also disclosed the reason why he doesn’t dance at weddings. He shared, “Pehle main damad ki umar ka tha. Ab main sasur ki umar ka ho gaya hu. Begani shaadi mein abdullah deewana sa lagta hoon. (You see, earlier I was the age of the groom. Now, I’m the age of the father-in-law. I feel out of place like an odd man at someone else’s wedding).”
The superstar also talked about why he lives in a bungalow and not in an apartment. He stated, “Mere upar koi nahi ho sakta (No one can be ablove me).” The actor resides in Mannat, a sea-facing bungalow in the posh Bandra area of Mumbai. The estimated value of his residence is Rs 200 crore.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in ‘King’, directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Reportedly, the film will also feature his daughter Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. He will also lend his voice to the Hindi version of Disney’s highly anticipated release, ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’. It is scheduled to be released in Indian theatres on December 20.
