Amidst all the internet chatter around the highly anticipated action film, SRK reportedly has his sights set on releasing his film on Eid 2026. The film, which has been in pre-production for the last couple of months, was initially slated to begin filming in 2024.However, due to some delays, media reports state that the makers have opted to delay the shoot.
Rumours of the film going into production back in July began doing the rounds when SRK and Suhana were spotted in London, reportedly to begin work on some high-octane chase sequences. Reports later indicated that the film will go on floors in January 2025 due to elaborate shooting schedules and some over-the-top VFX slated for the film. Thus it would be impossible to keep up with its initial 2025 release target.
While an official confirmation is still awaited, should the reports turn out to be true, then this will be Shah Rukh’s first Eid release since his blockbuster hit ‘Chennai Express‘ in 2013, which saw him starring opposite Deepika Padukone.
‘King’ promises to be an action-packed thriller, with SRK sharing the screen with his daughter, Suhana Khan. Also joining the father-daughter duo will be Abhishek Bachchan, who will feature as the antagonist and ‘Munjya’ star Abhay Verma.
