
Bihar’s popular folk singer Sharda Sinha is trending on Google following news of her poor health ahead of the Chhath Puja festivities. Searches surged over 1,000 percent, with more than 20,000 queries in 12 hours. Sinha is currently on ventilator support after her condition worsened, prompting her son to request prayers for her recovery.
The singer has been placed on ventilator support at Delhi’s AIIMS hospital following a decline in her health. This comes after the recent death of her husband, Brij Kishore Sinha. Her son, Anshuman, provided updates via his YouTube channel, urging fans to pray for her recovery. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also reached out to inquire about her condition.
Padma Shri and Padma Vibhushan recipient Sharda Sinha, affectionately known as ‘Bihar Kokila’, has been hospitalised, post the shock of her husband Brij Kishore Sinha’s demise. Her exact medical condition remains unclear.
Anshuman, the son of renowned singer Sharda Sinha, urged everyone to pray for her recovery, emphasising her critical condition and the pain she is enduring during this challenging time. He said, “It’s true, my mother is on ventilator. Keep praying. My mother is fighting hard. It’s very, very difficult. Just pray that she comes out of it. This is a real update. I just met her. May Chhathi Maiya save her. At the moment, when the doctors met, they said that the case has suddenly deteriorated. Everyone is trying.”
Sharda Sinha, popularly known for her traditional wedding and Chhath songs in Bhojpuri, has been hospitalised and is currently on ventilator support. She recently sang “Nirmohiya” for the OTT series ‘Maharani Season 2’.
