There seems to be no stopping Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao led Stree 2 , directed by Amar Kaushik, and written by Niren Bhatt, as its rampage at the box office continues. The film has now surpassed Prabhas and SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2, to become the 4th highest-grossing Hindi film of all time.

Stree 2 minted Rs 503.25 crore in three weeks, with Rs 70.2 crore coming in the third week. On fourth Friday, the film collected Rs 4.5 crore, and it’s Saturday collection stood at Rs 8.75 crore, as per early estimates by Sacnilk, thus taking the overall collection of the film to Rs 516.40 crore. The film had entered the Rs 500 club in the third week itself, only the 9th film to do so, and it has now gone to beat Prabhas, Rana Dagubatti and SS Rajamouli’s mega blockbuster Baahubali 2 to become the 4th highest grossing film of Hindi cinema . The overall collection of Baahubali 2 still stands at Rs 1030.42 crore including its Tamil and Telugu collections.
Stree 2 continues to be the 9th biggest hit of Hindi Cinema, but that is all going to change mostly by tonight or Monday, as the 8th spot is held by Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 with the lifetime collection of Rs 525.7 crore with Stree 2 needing less than a little over Rs 9 crore to beat that number. The business might be affected today due to Ganpati festival across the country.
Stree 2 also features Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Pankaj Tripathi, with special appearances by Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, and Tamannaah Bhatia. The makers are considering a spin-off focused on Shraddha Kapoor’s character, exploring the backstory of Stree. The film is part of Dinesh Vijan’s Horror-Comedy universe, alongside Bhediya and Munjya. Soon, vampires will join the mix with Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming film, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar.
