Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 mints Rs 65 crore in North America Filmymeet

Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, directed by Amar Kaushik and written by Niren Bhatt, is creating waves not only in India, but also in North America, which is one of the biggest markets for Indian films outside of India.

In India, the film has already crossed Rs 480 crore in less than 3 weeks, and is all set to enter the Rs 500 crore club by the end of the week, making it the 6th film in Hindi to do so after Animal, Baahubali 2, Pathaan, Gadar 2 and Jawan.
In the North American circuit ( USA + Canada) also, the film has been creating magic at the box office. In the 17 days of its release, the film has minted more than US $ 6.8 million ( Rs 65.67 crore) of which Rs 3.03 crore came from USA screens, and rest from Canada screens. Stree 2 has gone on to become the 21st biggest Indian film in North America, beating films like 3 Idiots, Bajirao Mastani and Ponniyin Selvan:1 to take the spot. .
With the upcoming release of Thalapathy Vijay’s The Greatest of All Time in the next 3 days, the box office collection of Stree 2 might be impacted .

Stree 2 is sequel to 2018 superhit film Stree, the film also featured Aparshakti Khurrana, Abhishek Banerjee and Pankaj Tripathi. The film also had cameo appearances by Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia.
