Sidharth Malhotra has finally announced his next big project, a folk thriller titled ‘VVAN: Force of the Forest’, which will tell rural legends and forest mystery on the big screen. The announcement comes on Chhath Puja day accompanied by a reel posted by Sidharth on Instagram, giving fans a preview of the film’s haunted rural and forested landscape.
The reel opens on a shot of a rustic village scene that warns viewers to be careful before going inside. After doing so, it seamlessly segues into impressions of the forest that would precede what promises to be a chilling and atmospheric thriller.

Kiara Advani, his wife and actress, was not behind in seeing the post, where she immediately put the series of fire emojis on her Instagram story showing support and enthusiasm for her husband’s new venture. Sidharth gave a response by sharing Kiara’s story on his Instagram along with heart emojis, which excited his fans at their sweet exchange.
A folk thriller is expected to be a standout in Sidharth’s filmography as this promises to be an interesting foray into a world where myths of cultures meet psychological suspense. According to reports, Sara Ali Khan will be seen sharing screen space with Sidharth for the first time. The movie will be directed by Deepak Mishra, who is known for directing Panchayat web series.
