Singham Again is Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty’s 11th film together. It boasts of a starry ensemble, apart from Ajay who reprises is popular role of Bajirao Singham. It sees Ranveer Singh back as Simbba and Akshay Kumar as his character Sooryavanshi. It stars Kareena as Ajay’s wife Avani. This time around, the new additions to the franchise are Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor and Tiger Shroff. There’s been a lot of buzz around ‘Singham Again’ and it may end up being one of the biggest blockbusters of the year as it releases during the Diwali holiday period. Though, the movie is clashing with another big franchise film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ which stars Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri. It’s directed by Anees Bazmee. As of now, since the advance bookings of ‘BB 3’ had opened 2-3 days prior to ‘Singham Again’ in some non-national centres, it has an edge and has generated slightly better advance ticket sales. However, Singham Again is expected to just take over, especially due to its mass appeal at the single screens. The trade expects that this clash eventually turns out good for the industry if it generates a three-day weekend total of Rs 200 crore. ‘Singham Again’ is a modern-day take on Ramayana with Ajay’s character ‘Singham’ almost encapsulating the essence of Lord Shree Ram and Kareena’s character being a symbolisation of Goddess Sita. Meanwhile, Arjun plays a role like Raavan.
