Somy Ali has publicly accused Sonu Nigam of deception, sharing an incident from a few years ago in a recent video. Although she didn’t name the singer directly in her message, her Instagram caption made it clear who she was referring to.
Somy, known for her turbulent relationship with Salman Khan, claimed in a recent video that Sonu Nigam used her for his own purposes. She revealed that about three years ago, she felt she was “taken for a ride.”
The former actress recalled inviting Sonu to her chat show and said, “A couple of years ago, I started a talk show and interviewed a few people.One of them spoke very intellectually and shared a lot of wisdom. I was in awe of everything. I thought he was someone who believed in what he was preaching.”
She further revealed, “When I tried to reach out for his benefit to get some sort of project in London, he dismissed my text. I highly respected this gentleman.” Somy claimed that Sonu went on her chat show because she was associated with someone in Mumbai and the singer had to prove to the other person that, ‘I was on your ex-girlfriend’s show’.
Sharing her experience, Somy captioned the post, “This is what people are and how they take advantage of you. @sonunigamofficial Then he makes videos of others who treated him poorly. I am shell shocked is and would be an understatement. I had the utmost respect for this person. Judge a book by its cover People! At least this one! Because trust me I was duped and how is unimaginable. I am still in disbelief. Oh by the way this man who played me is Sonu Nigam. Be wary. He likes to make videos poor him and how he was used and abused. These kind of people are sociopaths. I still love his songs though. Just didn’t expect him to stoop down to a sewage level.”
Sonu Nigam is yet to react to Somy Ali’s allegation.
