Arriving at the Shri Kedarnath Dham by helicopter at 7:15 am, Nigam was greeted with a grand welcome by the temple committee and eager fans as they snapped pictures with him on his way from the helipad to the temple.Once inside the temple, Sonu Nigam performed the traditional Jalabhishek and worshiped Lord Shiva. The singer’s visit to the Kedarnath temple holds special significance, as he recently lent his voice to the devotional song Achutam Keshavam for the recently released film Maharaj.
Speaking about his experience, Sonu Nigam had told IANS, “I’ve been fortunate to have a very beautiful connection with Yash Raj Films, and I truly value my personal equation with Yash ji. Anything related to YRF is special to me. I’m so glad that ‘Achutam Keshavam’ happened for ‘Maharaj.’ Singing for Aamir’s son’s debut and my friend Siddharth Malhotra’s directorial venture makes it all the more memorable.”
Maharaj features Junaid Khan, Aamir Khan’s son, in his debut role, alongside Jaideep Ahlawat, Shalini Pandey and Sharvari. It is directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and revolves around the Maharaja libel case of 1862.
