Stree 2 box office collection day 2: Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s film witnesses over 40 percent drop, still set to earn over Rs 30 crore Filmymeet

The much-anticipated sequel Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, has made a big impact at the box office on its first day. Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan, the film earned around Rs 51.8 crore nett on its opening day, with an additional Rs 8.5 crore nett from paid previews. The movie, which also features Aparshakti Khurrana, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee, has outperformed blockbusters like Pathaan, Jawan, Animal, and even Gadar 2 in several mass circuits.
According to Sacnilk, despite a nearly 43 percent drop in collections on its second day, Stree 2 continued to draw crowds with an overall 38 percent theatre occupancy. It is expected to earn around Rs 30 crore on its second day, bringing its total to approximately Rs 90.30 crore.
August 15 was a memorable day for Akshay Kumar’s fans, as he not only released his film Khel Khel Mein but also made a special appearance in Stree 2. The film has opened to positive reviews from both critics and audiences, with Akshay’s cameo being particularly well-received.

Stree 2 also features a special appearance by Varun Dhawan. The film has been described as “full paisa vasool” by audiences. The original Stree, released in 2018, was a hit, and the sequel’s release on August 15 has been highly anticipated. The phrase “Oo Stree Kal Aana” from the movie has become popular in memes.

Stree 2 is currently competing at the box office with Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa.
