Surbhi Jyoti will reportedly get married to her longtime beau, Sumit Suri, at a luxurious resort in Jim Corbett.
Surbhi Jyoti is reportedly set to marry her longtime partner, Sumit Suri. The couple had initially planned their wedding for March, but it was postponed due to venue unavailability in Rajasthan. Following this setback, Surbhi and Sumit have rescheduled their nuptials for October, and they are now ready to exchange vows at a luxurious resort in Jim Corbett National Park.
According to a report by Hindustan Times, Surbhi and Sumit are set to tie the knot on October 27, surrounded by the breathtaking scenery and serene ambiance of Uttarakhand. A source quoted by the media portal revealed that the couple’s wedding festivities will incorporate several unique and eco-friendly rituals. The celebrations will honour the elements of nature, including earth, fire, air, water and space.
The same report revealed that the wedding festivities will include other functions that strike a perfect balance between tradition and the couple’s love for nature. Their family and other loved ones will attend their wedding.
Previously, the same media portal had reported that Surbhi and Sumit decided to postpone their wedding to the latter half of 2024 due to the unavailability of their preferred venues. Hindustan Times quoted a source who said, “Initially, the plan was to get married in March, and Surbhi had even started looking for the venue in Rajasthan. She took many trips to Udaipur, Jaipur and Jodhpur to finalise the place. But in the end, the dates weren’t available for the booking she wanted. Hence, they had to postpone the dates.”
Furthermore, another insider disclosed that it wasn’t just the venue that became a hindrance. Other important aspects took longer than the expected time to complete. “Surbhi’s wedding lehenga wasn’t ready, but she didn’t panic at all. She and Sumit just want to do everything in a calm and composed way, taking one step at a time. There is no rush to get married,” said the source.
Speaking of their love story, rumours about their alleged relationship started making rounds in the media in 2018. They reportedly met while working on the music video Haanji The Marriage Mantra. To date, Surbhi and Sumit have kept their relationship under wraps, avoiding speaking anything about it publicly. However, the actress occasionally drops glimpses of her beau, seemingly giving a hint at their romantic relationship.
In terms of her work, Surbhi rose to immense popularity with her role as Zoya in the serial Qubool Hai. She was last seen on the small screen in Ektaa Kapoor’s Naagin 3.
