Munawar Faruqui warmly greeted former India cricketer Suresh Raina as he arrived for the opening match of ECL 2024.
Popular comedian Munawar Faruqui recently had a memorable encounter at the Entertainers Cricket League (ECL) 2024, a T10 tournament played among six teams consisting of several notable social media stars. The Bigg Boss 17 winner is the captain of Mumbai Disruptors and was present at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Delhi to attend the league’s opening match on September 13.
Former Indian cricketer and Chennai Super Kings star Suresh Raina made a special appearance at the ECL 2024 opening match. In a video, the cricketer was seen meeting with Munawar. After their initial greetings, the duo warmly hugged each other. For the event, Raina wore a half-sleeved shirt paired with white pants. Munawar and Raina posed for the paparazzi while conversing about the comedian’s upcoming match.
Further in the video, Munawar expressed his excitement as the former Indian cricketer graced the opening match of the ECL and shared that he felt really good coming to Delhi. Moreover, Raina reminded the people that the comedian dismissed Sachin Tendulkar during a match in Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) 2024.
Meanwhile, the first ECL 2024 match was played between Abhishek Malhan’s Bangalore Bashers and Elvish Yadav’s Haryana Hunters. The Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner’s team won the match by two wickets. Elvish took to his Instagram account to share a picture with the CSK star. He wrote, “Amazing Match And Special Thanks To Mere Bade Bhai @sureshraina3 jo mujhe cheer karne aaye. Best Birthday Gift.”
The second match of the first day was held between Munawar’s team, Mumbai Disruptors and Lucknow Lions. The comedian’s team emerged as the winner of the game, who won it by 50 runs.
On the work front, Suresh Raina has recently been added to the Chicago Players’ squad for the upcoming season of US Masters T10. Meanwhile, Munawar has his hands full with shooting his first web series, First Copy. The comedian began filming the show over a month ago in Hyderabad. More recently, his wife Mehzabeen Coatwala and their kids paid him a special visit on his sets.
For those who are unaware, after lifting the trophy of Bigg Boss 17, Munawar tied the knot for the second time In May in a private ceremony in Mumbai. They celebrated their union in the presence of their family and close friends and completely avoided sharing information about their wedding with the media.
