After films like Indian 2, The Greatest of All Time and Vettaiyan, all eyes are now on Suriya’s Kanguva to keep the flag flying high for Tamil Cinema in the United States of America. The film is a fantasy actioner, directed by Siva, and also stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patani.

The film is slated to release on 14th November, and with just 9 days away from its release, it has been receiving a lukewarm response from the audience. As per Track BO, the film has sold nearly 2700 tickets, and collected US $ 58685 ( Rs 49 lakh) for its premiere shows from 365 locations . In comparison Pushpa 2 which is almost a month away, has sold 4 times the tickets and collected 5 times the money till now.
However, the trade is keeping its hopes up, and is believing that a huge spike will come as the film nears its release. But that looks difficult, as the film has till now received limited screens and limited locations.
Suriya who is known for his amazing performances over his nearly 3 decade long career, has been going out of his way to promote the film but it has still not translated into ticket sales. Now only time will tell how far the film will go when the advance booking for the same will open in India.
