Taapsee Pannu denies influencer selfie on stage | Filmymeet

Taapsee Pannu is going all out with the promotions of her upcoming film ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and recently attended a song launch of the film. During the event, an influencer was seen on stage with the actress and an untoward incident seems to have occured between the two.
A video going viral on the internet sees Taapsee and the influencer, Ananya Dwivedi, greeting eachother and shaking hands, post which Ananya requested the actress for a selfie.In the clip, Taapsee is seen politely turning down the suggestion. As the video went viral, Ananya commented on it, taking a dig at Taapsee. “That’s me. And I don’t understand why would someone deny a selfie when you’re already surrounded by cameras and the only reason influencers like me were called is to promote HER song! She really needs a better PR training,” read Ananya’s comment.
It seems like Taapsee initially went on to pose for a picture but was quick to suggest not to click the selfie on stage. Netizens were divided over this incident. “She didn’t do anything wrong, she has no obligation to give a selfie, plus there’s cameras right there for them to take a proper picture,” read one comment on Reddit. Another user also defended Taapsee and wrote, “Please stop dehumanising celebrities like this. She can deny a selfi if she wants too.”
Another comment on the post read, “Pata nahin 1 min ka kaam tha anyways. It’s all about promotions. Now both of them are famous on internet.” An Instagram user noted, “she is junior jaya bachchan”.
