Actress Tabu recently captured attention with her brief appearance in the teaser for Dune: Prophecy, a prequel series to the acclaimed film. With a career spanning over three decades, Tabu has established herself as a versatile performer known for portraying complex characters.
In an interview with Galatta India, Tabu addressed the issue of insecurity among actors “Even if I say it’s important (to have secure actors), it’s not necessary that you be blessed with secure co-actors,” she remarked, adding that actors must adapt to the dynamics of their working environment.
Tabu acknowledged that she has encountered a wide range of personalities throughout her career, stating, “I have met all kinds of people—good, bad, ugly. You have no option. Ideally, it would be great to have a good atmosphere on set, but I also feel insecurity is a very primal human emotion.”
Despite the challenges of working with various personalities, Tabu emphasized the importance of commitment to her projects. “When you take up a project, you will have to complete it. Now you do it happily, or be upset about it, have a good experience or bad, it gets completed on its own. That’s your commitment to the project,” she explained.
Tabu also touched upon the emotional toll that working in the industry can take, “Now, how you have dealt with it emotionally and how it has impacted other areas of your life that you get to know later.”
Recently, Tabu has been part of ‘Crew’ alongside Kareena Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. She is also gearing up for the release of Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha, where she stars alongside Ajay Devgn. These projects reflect her continued relevance in the industry and her commitment to taking on diverse roles that challenge her as an actress.
