Tabu recently shared her experience of working with nearly every member of Anil Kapoor’s family. Tabu, was last seen in ‘Crew’, which also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon. She portrayed the character Geeth Sethi, a flight attendant. Co-produced by Anil Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, ‘Crew’ reunited Tabu with her ‘Virasat’ co-star, Anil Kapoor.
“Working in crew is nothing short of a milestone for me.It’s part of a three-decade-long journey that began with Boney Kapoor,” Tabu said.
Reflecting on her long-standing association with Anil and his family, Tabu shared in an interview with Connect FM Canada, “My connection with the Kapoor family (Anil and Boney Kapoor) spans 35 years, dating back to when Rhea was just one year old.”
“At the beginning of my career, I worked in Prem, opposite Sanjay Kapoor, which was produced by Boney Kapoor. Later, I collaborated with Anil in Priyadarshan’s Virasat, an adaptation of the Tamil film Thevar Magan. I also shared screen space with Arjun Kapoor in Kuttey. It has indeed been a long journey.” Tabu remarked.
Her association with the Kapoor family began as early as 1984, when producer Boney Kapoor cast her opposite Sanjay Kapoor in the romantic film Prem, which was released in 1995. Over her illustrious career spanning more than 25 years, Tabu has won two national awards and a Padma Shri. Her filmography includes some of the best works in Hindi cinema and renowned Hollywood films like The Namesake and The Life of Pi.
Speaking about her experience working with Rhea Kapoor, Tabu added, “It’s nice to see Rhea as a strong-headed producer.”
