She mentioned that Karan Johar wanted to test a female actor and that Taha could test with her, potentially catching Johar’s attention. Excited by the prospect, Taha eagerly accepted the offer.

However, just as he arrived at the building for the audition, he received a disheartening phone call from Shanoo. She conveyed Karan Johar’s decision not to see him. Taha was devastated but put on a brave face, telling Shanoo he was far from the location. Despite the setback, he returned home feeling heartbroken, as the opportunity had slipped through his fingers.
A month later, Shanoo invited Taha to her house, where he joined several other aspiring actors for an audition for an upcoming YRF project. This time, Taha’s persistence paid off, and he secured a role, marking his debut in the film “Luv Ka the End.”
Taha also shared an anecdote in a recent interview with The Week about how his determination led to another chance meeting with Karan Johar. He recalled chasing down Johar’s car on the street and knocking on the window, asking for an opportunity to showcase his work. Johar kindly gave Taha his number and even offered him water, which led to an audition for the film “Gippi.”
Reflecting on his journey, Taha emphasized the importance of a relentless hustle mentality in his career. He spoke about his willingness to approach industry personalities and introduce himself, always aiming to build relationships that could lead to future work. This tenacity was crucial in securing his audition for “Heeramandi.”
