Lalita D Silva spent eight years working with Jeh and Taimur Ali Khan as a pediatric nurse alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan. She currently looks after Klin Kaara, Upasana and Ram Charan’s daughter, and previously worked as a nurse for Anant Ambani. Despite the fact that she has been working in the sector for some time, people frequently mistake her for a nanny or caretaker.
During a conversation with IndiaToday.in, Lalita expressed her hope that with increased awareness, people will value her work more.“Call me nanny, sister, nurse, whatever but respect my job,” she stated.
When asked about her pay, she responded she believes she had a right to the specified sum. She said, “People compared my salary to that of the PM during the Taimur phase. I used to say I hope I get that much. But honestly, I must get paid that much because I have started my own business.”
She further added, “Salary-wise, a lot was written about me. However, a few know but I am working 24/7, no holiday, no festivals, I am on duty round the clock. Besides that, any corporate executive level, they have a balanced life. I have none. What am I getting? I am always with the client. I have the right to take that much money, and they should give me that much (laughs).”
Earlier, in a candid conversation with Hindi Rush, Lalita was questioned about how much she got paid while looking after star kids. In response, she stated, “Rs 2.5 lakh? I wish”. She added, “Aapke mooh mein ghee shakkar (May your words come true). These are all rumours.”
Lalita also talked about how Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are involved parents who struggle emotionally with emotional distance from their children.
