Thalapathy Vijay’s GOAT fails to beat his last release Leo: Bloody Sweet’s collection in Hindi | Hindi Movie News Filmymeet

Thalapathy Vijay is all set to venture into the world of politics, in fact his party has been accepted by the Election Commission of India, However, before he bid adieu to the world of movies, his penultimate film is setting the box office on fire. GOAT, in its second week added nearly Rs 54 crore to its kitty, taking the two week total collection to Rs 231.85 %. A closer look at the collection of the movie reveals that major collection has come from the Tamil version, while it is the Hindi version that has majorly underperformed.

GOAT in Hindi earned Rs 11.3 crore in the first week, while in the second week it was able to add just Rs 3.55 crore, taking the two week total to Rs 14.85 crore. When compared to his last released film Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Leo : Bloody Sweet, GOAT pales. Leo minted Rs 16.65 crore in its first week, and in second week it added another Rs 6.5 crore, taking the two week total to Rs 23.15 crore , a huge difference of Rs 8.3 crore. Leo was part of Lokesh’s Cinematic Universe which already has Kamal Haasan’s Vikram and Karthi’s Kaithi.
The Greatest of All Time, features Vijay in a dual role and a star-studded cast of Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, and Meenakshi Chaudhary. Vijay’s final film is being directed by H Vinoth and the film has been tentatively titled as Thalapathy 69, recently the makers released a poster for the film with the caption “ The Torchbearer of Democracy.”
