Thalapathy Vijay, one of India’s biggest superstars , is gearing up for a transition into politics. Before wrapping up his illustrious acting career, he has two more films lined up. Among them is Prabhu Venkat’s The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), set to release on September 5th.
Though advance booking for the film is yet to begin in India, tickets in a couple of sectors across the globe like the United Kingdom and Norway have already begun with the United States of America being the latest addition.The advance booking was supposed to start by 15th August, as per word on the street, but it was delayed by a few days because of negotiations and final nitty gritties. But, the tickets have finally gone on sale, but only for limited shows as premiere details are being locked till now, and more shows will open, once the release date comes closer. Till now, the film has only sold 161 tickets from 42 locations and collected US $ 3575 ( Rs 2.95 lakh) . More than the USA, it is the UK market which is considered a big one for Tamil films and there, Vijay’s film has already crossed Rs 50 lakh collection.
The film will see Vijay in a dual role once again, it also features Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Ajmal Ameer, Manobala, Vaibhav, Premgi, Ajay Raj, and Aravind Akash.
