Thalpathy Vijay’s The Greatest of All Time (GOAT) reaches Rs 1.75 crore collection for its premiere shows in USA | Hindi Movie News Filmymeet

Thalapathy Vijay, who is all set to embark on a political journey as he completes his last two films, is ready to set the box office on fire. His second last film is Prabhu Venkat’s The Greatest of All Time which will see him in a double role one more time. The film is slated to release on 5th September across the globe, and its advance booking in the United States of America which is predominantly dominated by Telugu films, is a sure sign of Thalapathy’s craze.

The premiere shows are still 9 days away, and the film has already crossed US $ 210,665 ( Rs 1.75 crore) from nearly 240 locations selling over 8000 tickets.In fact, the cinema owners have also got the permission from the makers to have screening as early as 6 pm Eastern Standard Time which would be 4 am Indian time to coincide with the release day in India. This permission would lead to many more shows being added to the mix and pushing the collection even higher.
The film is said to be inspired by 2004 Moscow Metro bombing incident where a suicide bomber detonated in a crowded subway killing dozens of people. The film also features Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Ajmal Ameer, Manobala, Vaibhav, Premgi, Ajay Raj, and Aravind Akash.
Few days ago Vijay launched the flag and logo of his political party. Vijay’s last film was Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Leo: Bloody Sweet, which held the record of highest day one collection of Rs 140 crore.
