Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar is taking on another hosting duty with the reality show The Traitors. Currently, the series is one of the most anticipated reality shows that will feature some of the well-known names from the television industry and a few from Bollywood. The filming of the reality show began earlier, and Maheep Kapoor, one of the contestants and a jewellery designer, recently hosted a party in Mumbai. The Traitors contestants also marked their presence at the star-studded party.
At the party, filmmaker and The Traitors host Karan Johar and contestant Karan Kundrra also crossed paths, and they were captured together. Karan Kundrra took to his Instagram stories and shared the picture with ‘the OG’ Karan Johar. In the snap, the two looked dapper as they twinned in all-black attire. While posing for the lenses, the actor and the filmmaker had bright smiles.
Sharing a sneak peek of the star-studded evening, Karan Kundrra also dropped a string of pictures on his Instagram stories. In the first picture, Maheep Kapoor, the host of the party, and Karan Kundrra clicked a selfie together. Uploading the picture on his Instagram stories, Karan wrote, “Thank you for the lovely evening.”
The other pictures from the celebrations featured co-contestants Sudhanshu Pandey, Mukesh Chhabra, and Raj Kundra. He captioned it ‘Boys Squad Forever.’
Moving on, he shared pictures with Anshula Kapoor and Uorfi Javed. The ladies looked oh-so-gorgeous in their stunning fits.
Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar made the official announcement on social media as he commenced shooting on September 17. He wrote, “It’s so treacherous, you’ll sleep with one eye open! #TheTraitersOnPrime, now filming for @primevideoin.”
The Indian version of the reality show will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The list of contestants includes Karan Kundrra, Jannat Zubair, Raj Kundra, Jasmine Bhasin, Uorfi Javed, Sudhanshu Pandey, and Anshula Kapoor.
Pinkvilla, in one of its reports, revealed that popular influencer Jannat Zubair and comedian Harsh Gujral will also be a part of the show. Additionally, fans will also get to see rapper Raftaar and renowned casting director Mukesh Chhabra adding to the excitement. However, an official confirmation of their participation is yet to be made.
It is worth noting that ‘The Traitors’ made its debut in the US last year, and it is an adaptation of a Dutch show titled ‘De Verraders.’ Created and developed by Marc Pos and IDTV Creative Director Jasper Hoogendoorn in cooperation with RTL Creative Unit, the format has proved its international appeal with over 25 adaptations and numerous returning seasons.
