Bollywood throwback pictures have always been able to captivate the audience. Blame it on the pure dose of nostalgia or the stories attached to the pictures, the throwback photos have their own charm. And talking of throwback pictures, recently an old picture of Gauri Khan from the time when she was pregnant with Aryan Khan in 1997 has resurfaced, and it is catching attention from left, right and centre.
On the one hand, where Gauri’s pregnancy glow is winning hearts, on the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan’s gesture of holding his beloved wife and then soon-to-be mommy of his child, so close to him is giving relationship goals. The picture also has Chikky and Deanne Panday, who are Chunky Panday’s older brother and sister-in-law.
Further, in the photograph, Gauri is seen donning a kurta with a red bindi and dark red lipstick. SRK on the other hand wore a blue shirt with dark pants. Shared by a netizen on Reddit, the caption of the picture read – “SRK, Chikky Pandey, Gauri and Deanne together when they were both pregnant in 1997!!”
Shah Rukh and Gauri have often shared details of their first pregnancy. In an old interview with Simi Garewal, Shah Rukh Khan recalled when his wife was in labour. He mentioned it was nothing like what people show in the movies.
“I didn’t know how a woman reacts when she goes into labour. I had heard that you’re supposed to breathe with her, but she wasn’t breathing. Yeah, she was screaming very strangely, nothing like how they show in films,” he said.
Remembering the time, Gauri mentioned they had to go for a Caesarean and Shah Rukh was nearly pulling the baby out, and that is when doctors intervened and they were like let us do our work.
“I went in with my mask and everything and took the baby out. I saw the incision and everything, though she told me not to see it. I really enjoyed the moment. I’m not trying to sound morbid or gruesome, but the sight of this, nature’s colours of even redness of the blood or blue parts there or yellow fat, it’s so translucent. It’s not at all gruesome. You’ll never see colours like that in your life,” Shah Rukh recalled.
