Anupamaa star Rupali Ganguly is a dog person. She is often seen playing with and feeding dogs on the set. Reports suggest that the creators of the show have established shelters for many stray dogs on Anupamaa sets, and provide them with food. Rupali is also a parent to a dog called Coffee whom she adores. Thanks to a new storyline, the actress enjoys the company of her furry friend onscreen as well. In the show, Anupamaa becomes fond of a dog named Coffee Ji Maharaj, who is actually her own pet, Coffee. Recently, Rupali took to social media to introduce her fans to someone who has taken over everything she once owned.
Sharing the adorable video, Rupali wrote, “What’s his is his, and what’s mine is also his, but no complaints because he’s mine, he’s a star and he’s THE COFFEE JI MAHARAJ. PS- Thank you @rajan.shahi.543 for making our set ka hero, a Star!”
The video featured her dog Coffee fast asleep in her bed. “I think it’s not fair that things you get for yourself are taken away by someone. There’s no law and order,” Rupali says in the video. Talking to her sleepy pet, she humorously complains to him, “This is my bed, this is my pillow. You have your bum on my tissue.” When her words had no impact on the dog, she gave in and kissed its head. “It’s ok, main chair pe so jaungi,” said Rupali. (It is ok, I will sleep on the chair)
This heartwarming conversation between Rupali and her pet dog caught the attention of celebrities and fans. Rupali’s former co-star in Anupamaa Aashish Mehrotra replied to the video saying, “My Coffeeee. I Miss him.”
Reacting to the video, a fan said, “Coffee is the superstar of Anupama. AnuFee is the megastar.” Another user wrote, “You should call PAWLICE right away?”
Rupali Ganguly is currently fighting a legal battle with her stepdaughter Esha Verma. Esha, who is her husband’s daughter from his first marriage accused her of having an affair with his father, and mentally abusing her and her mother. Esha has even alleged that Rupali assaulted her mother. After this, the actress issued a defamation of Rs 50 crore against her.
