Alanna Panday, who is the cousin of Ananya Panday, recently teased her new reality show, The Tribe, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of young Indian influencers striving for success in Los Angeles. Among the notable cast members is Alaviaa Jaaferi, daughter of actor Jaaved Jaaferi. One of the standout moments from the show features Alanna’s father in their family home in Mumbai, leading to a humorous and somewhat awkward exchange about her choice of outfit.
In the clip, Alanna’s father calls her out for wearing ‘just a bralette’ in front of the family, asking, “Did you forget to wear your top?” Alanna, taken aback, responds, “Are you serious? What’s wrong with this outfit?”
Her father continues to insist, “It needs a shirt, don’t you think?” To which Alanna argues that her bralette qualifies as a top. He quickly retorts, “This is not LA. This is Bandra,” adding, “A bralette? What does it say? A bra. So, a bra needs to be covered.”
The interaction sparked mixed reactions among Alanna’s followers, with some finding it a charming father-daughter moment, while others suggested she should consider wearing more modest clothing.
The Tribe also features influencers such as Srushti Porey, Aryaana Gandhi, and Alfia Jafry, along with digital evangelist investor Hardik Zaveri. Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment and executive-produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Aneesha Baig, the show promises an unfiltered look at the challenges and triumphs of Indian influencers as they navigate their paths to fame in Los Angeles.
