Sunny Deol‘s older son Karan Deol tied the knot with Drishya Acharya last year. The ceremony saw the entire Deol khandaan letting their hair down and having a ball of a time. However, Dharmendra‘s wife Hema Malini and daughters Esha and Ahana were nowhere to be seen. It is a well known fact that though Hema, Isha and Ahana have been accepted part of the Deol family, they do not attend each other’s personal functions to avoid hurting the sentiments of Dharmendra’s first wife, Prakash Kaur.

Just a week after the wedding, Dharmendra posted a public apology on Instagram, featuring a photo with Esha Deol. In his message, Dharmendra expressed his love and respect for Esha, Ahana, and Hema, acknowledging that he should have spoken to them personally. He included a folded hand emoji as a gesture of apology:
“Esha, Ahana, Hema all my darling kids and loving Takhtani’s Vohra’s l love you and respect you all from the core of my heart, age and illness is telling upon me I could have spoken personally to to you. but (folded hand emoji).”

Dharmendra also shared an Instagram story with his sons-in-law and grandchildren, featuring a photo of him cutting his birthday cake.

Meanwhile, Esha Deol shared a heartfelt message for Karan Deol on June 20, 2023. She posted a congratulatory note for Karan and Drisha’s new life together:
“Congratulations Karan and Drisha. Wishing you both a lifetime of togetherness and happiness.”

In a similar vein, when Esha Deol married in 2012, many expected her half-brothers Sunny and Bobby Deol to attend her wedding and dispel rumors of family discord. However, they did not attend, though their cousin Abhay Deol participated in the ceremonies. Sources suggest that Sunny and Bobby Deol’s absence was out of respect for their mother, Prakash Kaur, but they sent gifts to Esha as a token of their affection.
On the other hand, after being married for more than 10 years, Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani parted ways recently. They have two daughters, Radhya and Miraya.
