Kajol explained on Humans of Bombay podcast that when she and Ajay started working on a film together, they gradually became friends.
She said that she was going out with somebody, and he was also seeing someone else. We did a film together and spent a lot of time on set. We started talking, became friends, and eventually, both of us broke up with our respective partners. Then, we became a little more than friends.
When asked if she thinks Ajay is the one for her, Kajol humorously responded that she still didn’t knew whether he’s the one. She think he would say.’
Kajol says she would never shoot scenes where she gets molested: ‘It’s very uncomfortable and disturbing’
Talking about their marriage, Kajol emphasized that maintaining a relationship requires continuous effort. She said, “It’s about wanting to work on it every day. Any married couple will tell you that it is a lot of work; it’s not easy. You have to reinvent yourself and look at things differently each day. People grow and change, so I am very different from what I was at 21-22, and he is very different from what he was at 30. We still find each other interesting, and I think that’s the biggest thing I can say about us right now.”
Kajol and Ajay Devgn met on the sets of the film “Hulchul” and got married in 1999. They have two children: a daughter named Nysa, born in 2003, and a son named Yug, born in 2010. The couple has starred together in several films, including “Gundaraj,” “Ishq,” “Dil Kya Kare,” “Raju Chacha,” and “Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha.” Their most recent film together was the 2020 period drama “Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior,” which also featured Saif Ali Khan.
