“I was waiting for a bus in Delhi, and it was getting dark and cold. A car with six guys stopped near me. I felt uneasy and moved away a little. It was a natural reaction to protect myself.They started catcalling, and someone threw a small stone at me. I realized I needed to leave. I thought about running, but they could easily catch up. So, I decided to stand in the middle of the road and hitch a ride,” she recalled.
She continued, “Several cars passed without stopping until I saw a car with a medical sign. I thought it might be safer since he was a doctor. I got in the car and sat in the front seat. But then, the driver unzipped his pants and tried to force my hand. My instinct kicked in, and I hit him. He had to stop the car because of what happened, and he told me to get out.”

Reflecting on the incident, Tillotama expressed how deeply it affected her. “It was a terrifying experience, and I was shaken. But my instinct to fight back helped me get out of a dangerous situation,” she said.
On the work front, Tillotama boarded Kota Factory, the web series set in Rajasthan’s Kota, considered the coaching hub for students aspiring to get into an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) by cracking the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). Directed by Pratish Mehta and showrun by Raghav Subbu, Kota Factory also features Mayur More, Ranjan Raj, Alam Khan, Revathi Pillai, Ahsaas Channa, and Rajesh Kumar. She will also be seen sharing screen space with Manav Kaul in a new series titled Tribhuvan Mishra: CA Topper.
