Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas has been on the rise ever since his latest film – Ajayante Randam Moshanam (ARM) – was released in theatres this month. The movie has received widespread success and it is currently ruling the box office. Recently, the movie made history as it collected a total of Rs 100 crore worldwide.
The Jithin Laal directorial was released in cinemas worldwide on September 12. ARM shows Tovino Thomas in three roles – Kunjikkelu, Maniyan, and Ajayan. The movie was released in Malayalam and it has raked in Rs 100 crore at the box office, making this film the actor’s biggest hit of the year. The story incorporates a blend of fantasy and folklore of Kerala.
Originally shot in 2D, the movie was converted to 3D ahead of its release. The movie has been praised by critics for its direction, story, visual effects, and music. Bankrolled by Listin Stephen and Zachariah Thomas, the movie also stars Basil Joseph, Jagadeesh, Harish Uthaman, Harish Peradi, Kabir Singh, Pramod Shetty, and Rohini in key roles. This film marked Thomas’ 50th film in the industry.
On the work front, Thomas was last seen in Nadikar where he played the role of David Padikkal. He was also seen in Anweshippin Kandethum earlier this year. He played the role of SI Anand Narayanan.
