Recently, media reports indicated that Pooja Entertainment, owned by Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani, is encountering significant losses attributed to a string of unsuccessful films. According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Vashu sold Pooja Entertainment’s seven-story office to address a debt amounting to Rs 250 crore. The report further detailed that proceeds from the sale were being used to settle debts, alongside news of the production house reducing its workforce by 80 percent.
Vashu clarified the situation by stating that the building in question was undergoing redevelopment, addressing rumors about its sale to settle debts. Regarding allegations of non-payment by crew members, he urged them to approach Pooja Entertainment directly with proper contracts and legal documentation. Vashu emphasized resolving any issues through constructive dialogue rather than social media complaints, assuring that they are committed to addressing concerns within a reasonable timeframe. He also mentioned their collaborations with UK production companies and advised claimants to contact them directly if owed money.
Pooja Entertainment, known as one of the oldest production companies, has supported numerous films including ‘Coolie No. 1’, ‘Hero No. 1’, ‘BellBottom’, ‘Biwi No. 1’, ‘F.A.L.T.U.’, ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’, and ‘Rehan Hai Dil Mein’, among others.
