Vicky Kaushal’s Bad Newz crosses Rs 1 crore for its opening day | Hindi Movie News Filmymeet

Post Sam Bahadur, Vicky Kaushal is all set to be back on the big screen in a completely different avatar, a role that he has never attempted before. With Karan Johar backed, and Anand Tiwari directed Bad Newz, Vicky is all set to explore the comedy genre for the first time, and it seems the audience is very excited for the film. The film also features the National Crush of the country Triptii Dimri and Punjabi star Ammy Virk.

Bad Newz is a story of a rare case of heteropaternal superfecundation where Triptii Dimri’s character gets pregnant with both Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk’s twins. The film is slated to release on 19th July, and has taken a good start for its opening day.
As per Sacnilk, the film has till now, sold nearly 37000 tickets amassing a grand total of Rs 1.04 crore, with Mumbai and Delhi circuit leading from the front. With more than 24 hours left for the release of the film, trade is expecting it to open with a double digit collection by the end of day 1, though one of the roadblocks for the film would be its concept, in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
The film has a lot going for it, from the comic chemistry between Vicky and Ammy, to songs like Tauba Tauba and Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam.
