Vicky Kaushal showcased a new side of his talent, with his latest film Bad Newz. He proved that he has a flair for comedy and dance, and how he can be a complete package for the big screen. However, the film’s collection in the second week shows a drastic drop, proving that its connection was limited to a niche audience.
The film revolves around the heteropaternal superfecundation condition that Triptii Dimri’s character goes through, as she conceives twins; one belonging to Vicky’s character and another by Ammy Virk’s character.The film had a lot going for it, the trailer had set the ground for the film, and the songs were chartbusters, but when the actual film came out, many were disappointed .
The film in the first week, earned Rs 42.85 crore, and in the second week, the collection dropped to just Rs 14.15 crore, taking the overall collection of the film to Rs 57 crore. The film still, has a decent chance to take its collection ahead this week, as the new releases this week are expected to have a lukewarm response. However, Deadpool & Wolverine along with Kalki 2898 AD, are still holding on their screens and are expected to make a decent jump.
