Fans are waiting with baited breath to see a film where Chiyaan Vikram and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan actually unite in the end. The duo worked together in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan‘ but Vikram and Aishwarya’s characters did not unite in the end. Interestingly, Abhishek Bachchan had played the same character in the Hindi version of the movie. Vikram who is currently celebrating the success of his movie Thangalaan has spoken about his equation with Aishwarya and Abhishek.
Vikram and Aishwarya had shared screen space in ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ and yet their characters did not have much time together.Talking about it, Vikram said during a chat with Siddharth Kannan, “I told Mani sir, ‘Please one film, let’s get together, at least for the fans’. I think she is a fantastic actor to work with. She is very committed, perfectionist and we are very good friends but Abhishek is like very, very close friend.”
He further added, “Abhishek is a very close friend of mine so automatically, the family becomes friends too. The thing is, Aishwarya and I, we have very good on-screen chemistry, like whether it was Raavan or whether it was ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ and both were unrequited love, both were somebody else’s wife, I get killed in both.”
Earlier, when Abhishek was reminiscing about his journey so far in Hindi cinema when he completed 20 years, he spoke about working with Vikram. He had said, “Raavan also gave me the opportunity to work with @the_real_chiyaan I’ve been a huge fan of his ( must have watched Dhool- his Tamil film over 17 times ) he has always been so loving towards me and I learnt so much by just observing him. A great actor.”
