Vikrant Massey and Sheetal Thakur’s love story began on the set of the popular web series ‘Broken But Beautiful’ in 2018.
Initially friends, their relationship blossomed into romance, leading them to date for approximately eight years before tying the knot in 2022.
The couple’s engagement took place in 2019, celebrated in an intimate ceremony with close friends and family. However, their wedding was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which affected many couples worldwide. They eventually registered their marriage on February 14, 2022, coinciding with Valentine’s Day, and held traditional wedding ceremonies shortly thereafter in Himachal Pradesh.

On the Untriggered podcast with YouTuber AminJaz, The ‘12th Fail’ actor revealed that it was his mother who suggested they live together before marriage. This advice stemmed from her progressive upbringing in Mumbai, where she valued understanding and companionship in relationships. Vikrant noted, “It was my mother who suggested that we stay together. Thankfully, I have really progressive parents”.
Living together for nearly seven years allowed them to explore their compatibility in a way that traditional dating might not have permitted. Vikrant explained, “You get to see different shades of each other; that’s true companionship for me.” He emphasized that this arrangement helped them understand each other better and solidify their bond before making the lifelong commitment of marriage.
Vikrant shared his perspective on love and relationships. He humorously referred to their initial meetings as “love at third sight,” indicating that true feelings often develop over time. He remarked that the first two encounters were filled with contemplation rather than immediate attraction. “On the third day that we met, we realized that there were sparks flying,” he recounted, highlighting the natural progression of their relationship.
Vikrant also reflected on his youthful experiences with infatuation, illustrating how personal growth and maturity have shaped his understanding of love. He acknowledged that while early crushes felt significant, they were not the same as the deep connection he shares with Sheetal today.
In addition to their personal life, Vikrant and Sheetal recently welcomed their first child, a baby boy, further enriching their family dynamic. This joyous occasion came shortly after Vikrant’s significant career breakthrough with the film ‘12th Fail,’ directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The film has been a commercial success, resonating with audiences and critics alike.

A source close to the development shared, “The film till date, has been receiving a lot of love, and to mark the momentous occasion, the makers have decided to bring the film back to the theaters.”
