It’s Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s birthday today and while she’s considered and always known for being the most beautiful woman on earth, her husband Abhishek Bachchan has always seen her beyond that. Abhishek has often said that he did not fall in love with her or marry her because of ‘just her beauty’, but because of the person she is. He’s always said that he found her beautiful from the inside and because of the strong friendship that they shared.
On her birthday today, here’s recalling a time when Abhishek spoke about how sometimes Aishwarya’s beauty overshadows her talent and ability to perform as an actor. The ‘Guru’ actor said, “I’m being protective over here of my wife, my beautiful wife. When she came to the industry, she was Miss World and she still is the most beautiful woman on earth. That’s something stuck with her and no denying that. As an audience, I think a lot of her charm comes from her beauty and demeanor but that shouldn’t take away from her performance capabilities.”
Aishwarya was besides him during this interview and she was all things love as she leaned her head on his shoulders while Abhishek said this. She was all smiles.
Abhishek and Aishwarya got married in April 2007 and they have a daughter, Aaradhya, who was born in 2011. On work front, Aishwarya was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2‘. Meanwhile, Abhishek was last seen in R Balki’s ‘Ghoomer‘ and will be seen next in Shoojit Sircar’s ‘I Want To Talk’ set to release on November 22.
