In an older interview, Amitabh praised Aishwarya and expressed how he admired her strength when she endured labour without opting for painkillers.

After Abhishek and Aishwarya welcomed Aaradhya, Amitabh Bachchan spoke to the media to express the family’s joy. The veteran actor addressed the media and answered their questions. It is in this conversation that he praised his daughter-in-law. The actor revealed how Aishwarya did not opt for painkillers as she endured labour for “almost 2-3 hours.” He also revealed that she opted for a natural birth rather than going for a C-section or epidural.

Amitabh said, “She had to struggle but I commend her that she was in acute labor for a long time, almost 2-3 hours. But she persisted and said she wanted a normal delivery. She did not use any epidural or painkiller.” He also praised her strength and resilience. In the same interview, the actor spoke about how the baby resembled Aishwarya. When Aaradhya was born, several Bachchan family claimed that she looked like Abhishek and even Jaya Bachchan.

Abhishek and Aishwarya tied the knot in 2007 according to Hindu rituals at the Bachchan residence – Prateeksha – in Juhu, Mumbai. They welcomed their daughter in 2011. On the work front, Abhishek was last seen in Ghoomer where he shared the screen with Saiyami Kher. He has Shoojit Sircar’s untitled film in his kitty along with Housefull 5. Aishwarya, on the other hand, was last seen in Ponniyin Selvan: II. She won several accolades for her role in the film. She was recently seen at the IIFA Utsavam Awards and a fashion show in Paris.
