When Vivek Oberoi claimed people in the industry are ‘made of plastic’ | Hindi Movie News Filmymeet

It has been 22 years to Vivek Oberoi’s debut in movies with Ram Gopal Varma’s Company in 2002. He followed it up with films Saathiya, Kaal, Masti, Yuva, Shootout At Lokhandwala and then ventured into South with films like Vivegam and Lucifer. However, he is still known more for his infamous press conference which he had against Salman Khan in 2003.

During his conversation with Farah Khan back in 2009 during her show Tere Mere Beech Mein, he opened up about the press conference and said , “As soon as I sat down to do the press conference, I realised I was doing something wrong.My inner voice told me to not do this and go have a conversation man-to-man. But, when you have too many people giving you suggestions, you seem to suppress your own mind and listen to others. I ended up saying things I shouldn’t have.”
He later went on to state “Our industry has more plastic than the company that makes Tupperware boxes.”
Now 15 years have passed since this conversation, and in his latest conversation with India TV, he was asked to comment about his ‘plastic’ comment, and he stated that this is not something one should say out loud. He also mentioned that those plastic people know who they are, and others too, and added that he’s older now and more mature, and does not think much about these things.
Vivek was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force and is handling mutilpe businesses in India and abroad, apart from his acting career.
