Whenever a book is adapted into a series or a movie, certain scenes don’t make it to the final cut. One such case recently happened when the popular series ‘House Of Dragon Season 2’ came out.
Olivia Cooke, known for her work as Alicent Hightower in the series during her interaction with Elle, talked about a scene that she shot during the filming of ‘House of the Dragon S2,’ but it was deleted from the final cut.It was an intimate scene, which according to the showrunner Ryan Condal was simply unnecessary. He felt it didn’t add to the participant’s characterization and thus, he chose not to keep it in the season.
Recalling the scene Olivia described it as messy. “It wasn’t beautiful, and that was really fun to do. It was “carnal” and even “animalistic,” she said.
“I think Ryan [Condal, the showrunner] said we weren’t learning any more about the characters, which I disagree with slightly, but it’s okay. It’s his show,” she added without meaning any offense.
