As per the latest report by Zee News, Sobhita Dhulipala is planning to venture into something new, with ‘Don 3’ potentially being the opportunity. According to the report, Farhan Akhtar approached Sobhita for an item song in the film, believing that her charm and persona would make her the perfect choice and confident that she would excel in the role like no other actress.
According to the report, discussions are ongoing, and Sobhita Dhulipala has not yet finalized her appearance in ‘Don 3’. It was noted that, while a conclusion has yet to be reached, Sobhita has had several meetings with Farhan Akhtar and the team.
Recently, the makers of Don 3 took to Instagram and shared a video welcoming Kiara Advani to the film. “Welcome to the Don universe, @kiaraaliaadvani #Don3,” Farhan made the announcement.
Previously, Farhan had directed Shah Rukh Khan in the 2006 action thriller ‘Don’ and its sequel, ‘Don 2’, which was released in 2011. SRK played the iconic role of the titular anti-hero.
In a recent podcast with YouTuber Raj Shamani, Farhan Akhtar explained his decision to cast Ranveer Singh. He emphasized that the role required a “next-generation actor” and praised Singh for his charm, mischief, and boundless energy. Akhtar believes Singh will bring a new depth to the character, a departure from the “loud” roles he’s played in the past, with the exception of his more restrained performance in ‘Lootera’.
When questioned about why Shah Rukh Khan isn’t returning for the trilogy, Farhan Akhtar revealed that there were creative differences between them regarding the script. Despite their efforts to collaborate and develop the story, they couldn’t align on the direction and ultimately decided to part ways.
