Veteran actress Neena Kulkarni, known for her work in Hindi and Marathi cinema, recently became the subject of an unusual death hoax. Fans were shocked as rumours of her passing spread across social media. This prompted Neena Kulkarni to respond swiftly and address the false claims directly.
To put an end to the speculation, Neena Kulkarni took to social media to clarify the situation. In her post on Instagram Stories, Kulkarni assured everyone that she is alive and well and expressed her gratitude for the love and support she has received. She also urged her fans not to believe or spread such rumours. “There’s a FAKE NEWS circulating on YouTube about my death. I am very much alive and kicking and by God’s grace, busy working. Please DO NOT HEED OR ENCOURAGE SUCH RUMOURS. Long live me,” she wrote.

Kulkarni recently attended the screening of the Marathi film Paani, directed by Adinath Kothare and produced by Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Madhu Chopra under Purple Pebble Pictures. She turned heads at the event in a beautiful golden saree which was complemented by striking accessories.
In her Instagram post, Kulkarni highlighted the film’s significance, stating, “At the premiere of the film made on a very relevant topic …water….PAANI..paani the film. A true story, ably told and superbly directed by Adinath Kothare.” She further mentioned that the film is significant as it centres around the theme of unity.
“Cheers to the captain of the ship, Adinath, who has comfortably taken on the three-fold responsibility of direction, screenplay, main lead, has also produced the film through his home company We@KothareVision. Subodh Bhave ..he plays his character with so much ease, it’s a class in acting. That biggies such as Purple Pebble Pictures and Rajshri are backing this film, says a lot about its importance. Talking about her professional front, Kulkarni recently returned to television with the Marathi serial Yed Lagla Premach where she plays the role of a caring mother. The show also stars Vishal Nikam and Pooja Birari.
Before this, she was seen in Ektaa R Kapoor’s Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, alongside Divyanka Tripathi, Anita Hassanandani and Karan Patel. Kulkarni has appeared in several well-known Hindi films, including Badal, Nayak, Paheli, Guru, Hungama, Rann, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, Hasee Toh Phasee and Ghayal: Once Again.
