TV stars Divyanka Tripathi and Karan Patel ruled the hearts of viewers with their romantic on-screen pairing Ishita and Raman in the popular show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. Backed by Ektaa Kapoor, the show was a big hit and garnered much appreciation from the audiences, making them one of the most popular couples on Indian television. The show premiered from 2013 to 2019 and ever since then, fans have been waiting to see their favourite telly jodi back.
Now, a report by Gossips TV suggests that Divyanka and Karan are all set to return to television with Ektaa Kapoor’s upcoming show for Sony TV. While the details about the storyline and other cast of the show are not known, this report comes as a big surprise for all Ishita and Raman fans. However, an official confirmation regarding their new show is still awaited.
Talking about Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, the show is about the lives of Ishita and Raman, who hail from two different states and are poles apart from each other. The two decide to marry each other for the sake of the latter’s daughter and eventually fall in love. The show also featured Aditi Bhatia, Abhishek Verma, Krishna Mukherjee, Aly Goni, Shireen Mirza and Anita Hassanandani among others in pivotal roles.
Last month, Ektaa Kapoor hosted a grand Diwali party at her residence in Mumbai where Divyanka and Karan also arrived with their partners. In one of the pictures shared on Instagram, the actress was seen posing with her hubby Vivek Dhaiya and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein co-star Karan Patel, who was accompanied with his wife Ankita Bhargava.
Divyanka has also been a part of other hit shows like Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, Ramayan and others. As of now, she is enjoying positive responses to her new show The Magic of Shiri which premiered on the OTT platform Jio Cinema on November 14. Directed by Birsa Dasgupta, the series also stars Jaaved Jaaferi, Namit Das and Darshan Jariwala in significant roles. Karan, on the other hand, has appeared in serials like Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Kasturi, Kesar and others.
