Fans of the Regency romance drama have been buzzing after leaked photos from the set revealed lead stars of the series Yerin Ha and Luke Thompson dancing alone an extravagant masquerade ball. The first photos that also double up as major spoilers from the series see Luke as Benedict and Yerin as Sophie running out into the Bridgerton courtyard and dancing along under the moonlight, already setting it up as one of the most romantic scenes of the series.
The leaked images see Luke in an all-black ensemble and matching black mask smitten by Yerin, who steps up as the mysterious ‘lady in silver’, as mentioned in the books.
This new season will follow the events of Julia Quinn‘s third ‘Bridgerton’ novel, ‘An Offer From a Gentleman’, which sees Benedict searching for the lady in silver, who he meets at a masquerade ball. This lady later turns out to be a low-born woman named Sophie Beckett. However, according to the latest reports, the makers have decided to change the character Sophie’s surname to Baek, to honour Yerin’s Korean heritage.
While the leaked photos gave only a glimpse of the spectacle to come, it seems like the story will pick up soon after the events of Season 3. The finale even had Benedict expressing his reluctance to attend his mother’s masquerade ball.
‘Bridgerton’ has been a runaway success since its premiere, with each season focusing on the romantic lives of each of the Bridgerton siblings. Unlike the others, Benedict’s storyline has been building for 3 seasons, making the wait to find his match that much more intriguing.
While filming is underway, there isn’t still no official release date for season 4.
