After 2022 release Phone Bhoot, Siddhant Chaturvedi has returned to the big screen with action entertainer Yudhra. Malvika Mohanan essays the leading lady in this film, which is helmed by Ravi Udyawar. Riding high on the success of Kill, Raghav Juyal is seen essaying a menacing antagonist in Yudhra.
With nearly no box office competition, Yudhra arrived in theatres on September 20.It opened to an impressive Rs 4.50 crore, reports sacnilk. The film saw an overall occupancy of 46.54 percent on its release day. The trend of National Cinema Day has added to the film’s success as tickets have been priced at Rs 99.
During the shoot of Yudhra, Siddhant Chaturvedi ended up being slapped real hard by his leading lady. Recalling the incident, Malvika had told ETimes, “Ya.. Siddhant got slapped real bad, we shot for this scene in the first schedule of the film, and we were still building our chemistry. In the scene, my character is very pissed with Yudhra’s character, and it was our director Ravi (Udyawar) sir who got extremely excited, and said ‘are tu maar’.” She further added, “Also the way the scene was being shot, it would have looked really fake had I not hit him in real and the very next moment, Siddhant is sitting with an ice pack on his face (laughs).”
Yudhra is expected to enjoy a solo run at the box office till the end of this week. As September 27 will see the release of the much anticipated action entertainer Devara: Part 1. This film stars Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles.
