Zareen Khan Opens Up About Industry Criticism, Personal Struggles Post ‘Veer’ & Comparisons with Katrina Kaif
In a recent interview, Zareen shared her plans regarding marriage. During a chat with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa on their podcast, she revealed her stance of having “no plans for marriage.” She expressed her disinterest in marriage, stating that no one approaches her directly about it. She described her stance on marriage as an “irony of life,” emphasizing her strong reluctance despite societal pressures. Zareen criticized the transient nature of modern relationships, likening them to the ease of swiping for food delivery. She conveyed a sense of disillusionment with how relationships are treated in today’s world, reflecting on their fleeting and impersonal nature. According to her, it is strange to end a marriage in just three months.
Zareen shared that she admires the enduring love of her grandparents, who remained together until death. She expressed that such lasting love is rare in today’s world, which contributes to her lack of desire to marry.
She further addressed the topic of societal and familial pressure regarding marriage. The actress clarified that she doesn’t feel significant pressure from her family overall. However, she acknowledged that her mother occasionally brings up the subject, particularly when she sees others getting married, suggesting that Zareen should consider marriage as well.
