Previous threats and attempts
In his statement, Salman mentioned that in January 2024, two men attempted to trespass at his Panvel farmhouse. The Mumbai Police identified these individuals as members of the Bishnoi gang, adding to the mounting evidence of a sustained campaign against the actor.
The chargesheet also unveiled that Bishnoi’s gang had placed a Rs 25 lakh bounty on Salman’s head, planning his murder in a manner similar to the assassination of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in 2022. Their meticulous plan included procuring firearms from Pakistan, such as AK-47s, AK-92s, M16 rifles, and the Turkish-made Zigana pistol – the same weapon used in Moosewala’s killing.
Further, the chargesheet detailed how around 70 operatives were deployed to monitor his movements. This surveillance network spanned across Mumbai, his Panvel farmhouse, and even the Goregaon Film City.
