Xu Feihong holds positions as a Member of the CPC Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, according to an official Chinese website. He assumed the role of Ambassador to India in May of this year, filling a vacancy that had persisted for 18 months.
He said in a statement after assuming the position, “I will do my best to deepen understanding and friendship between the two peoples, expand exchanges and cooperation in various fields and improve and advance the bilateral relationship,”
